Well I guess its about time for the birth story!!

So February 16th I woke up at 1:00 with contractions every 20 mins that were strong enough that I had to get up for each one so after an hour of having one then going back to sleep I finally got up. I talked with Kevin and we knew we were ready to do this!! Well it really was a beautiful labor and I moved around from shower to tub, to standing out and being grateful for the rain that early morning. Then I came back in the bedroom around 4ish and remember looking at the clock then saying to Kevin, laughing, "geez, labor sure goes by fast!" And it truly was funny to me b/c I could feel the strength of the work my body was doing, but having no idea how far along things were ( I never once checked dilation) and then thinking I am so grateful for the gift that my body has been to me. Anyways, it was like after that point my body got really serious, and I felt like staying in the bathtub, it really helped things progress. Then, around 5:37 she was born into the water and I'd had my eyes closed but as I felt her coming out I opened my eyes, reached down and lifted her up, unwrapped her cord, and started talking to my husband about her. By that time we decided it was time to call the midwife, lol!! Then I also realized I should check if she was actually a girl. It was so releiving to see she really was a SHE. So I guess labor was approximately 4 1/2 hrs, it really did fly by compared to last labor.Now I am truly learning what it is to love, as we work out how to be the family Heavenly Father wants us to be. I am just so grateful I could be blessed with such a wonderful experience.
