For those of you who think this baby is a girl, I've now swung back to your side. (I'm going on 2 wks past my due date, I think I'm allowed to be wishy-washy ;) ) Its kind of funny, because I think I've actually had to reopen that poll like 2-3 times.
Well, as of late I've spent some time praying, trying to decide if I should try some things to help get labor to pick up a bit more because I felt impressed that I needed to find more ways to encourage labor, other than be healthy, happy and active. So...I've tried all the "wives tales" to no avail, but then last night I discussed w/ an aromatherapist, and then also my midwife, and decided on using peppermint oil and blue & black cohosh (herbs). (Don't worry, they are taken separately...bleh!) It seems to have picked contractions up to be a bit closer...its so funny b/c sometimes they are every 5 minutes, other times, every hour...and at night they are like every 3 hours. Oh- and I've also started taken Evening Primrose oil, orally--I haven't been checked lately, so I'm not sure where I'm at progression wise, and I'm not sure I really care. I know my body is going to go from zero to sixty as soon as "active labor" begins so knowing that, progression in that area doesn't really matter to me. Its actually kind of funny b/c I sit and analyze..."okay did I done enough to help labor? Am I ready in such and such way?..." over and over 'till I drive myself nuts to the point where I'm just hoping Heavenly Father sends the baby soon. But in the end the fact is, I don't know His will as to when the baby's time to arrive is, so I sit and wait and wait, knowing that sunshine's arrival will happen eventually, no matter what I do.
So yep, still waiting.
And we've changed our minds on the girl name also, so you will have to wait to hear that one, too.

what does the chinese gender calculator say you are having? just wondering! and have you tried lots of good old fashioned sex to get labor going? that at least is fun!

It is so nice to hear that there are other women out there who trust what their body know what to do! Just keep on relaxing. I always found to to talk with my babies at the end to let them know you I am ready. With hypnobirthing they talk about fear releases. So I always make sure all of my fears whether conscientiously or subconsciously are resolved. Look forward to hearing the news of the arrival of your healthy baby!
I wouldn't be surprised if you've had your baby by now, but I wanted to comment anyway. We can always use a wish of good luck as mothers right? So, Good Luck with everything! I really admire your patience, although I get the feeling blogging is helping you pass the time. LOL! 4 posts in a few weeks! Awesome.
